An Apple or a Ring?

Of course, when a guy proposes, he needs to offer a beautiful ring. In my case, this is all the more so because when I proposed the first time, I couldn't afford a nice ring... so this is my chance to make up. However, given my lack of taste compared to my wife, I wanted to suss out what style of ring she would like.

Then one day, about a couple of months ago, out of the blue she suggests to me that instead of giving her jewellery for our anniversary, why don't I get her an Apple. Yes, an Apple Mac!
I could hardly believe my ears! But what about my romantic idea about a ring??

Sort of mentioned it to my techie (or geeky) friends - about the Mac that is - and they thought it would be a good chance for me to upgrade my old PowerBook as well. "His & Hers" they marketed. Then they went on thinking about ways to hint to their wives how cool Sarah was in asking for a Mac and what a great husband I was for getting her one.

But really, ask any woman: "An Apple or a ring?" .... Isn't my wife one of a kind!
